COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Start with wherever you want to see a difference — face, body, or feet. We make a sponge for each. If you'd rather try a bit of everything first, the Head-to-Toe box has one of each so you can find your favourite.
Not at all. Use whatever you already like — your usual soap, gel, cream or body wash. The sponge does the exfoliating; your cleanser does the cleaning.
If your skin is normal or oily, daily is fine. If it's on the sensitive side, start two or three times a week and see how you get on. Let comfort be your guide.
Light to start with. How much you exfoliate is really in your hands — a gentle touch is enough for most skin, and if you notice any redness afterwards, ease off.
Rinse it thoroughly under running water after each use, shake off the excess, and let it air dry. Try not to squeeze or wring it — that's what wears a sponge out fastest.
Definitely. Men's skin is thicker and denser, and takes exfoliation well. Exfoliating before shaving also lifts the hairs and clears dead skin, which can help with ingrown hairs and razor bumps.
The facial, body and foot sponges are polyester, and made in the USA. Our sea sponges are natural — harvested from the sea. And the Magic Stone is heat-treated recycled glass, a modern take on a pumice stone.
No. The plain sponges have no scent of their own — anything you smell is your own soap or body wash.
Our sponges are for gentle exfoliation, not a treatment for acne, and we don't make any medical claims. If you have active breakouts or a skin condition, it's worth checking with a dermatologist or your doctor first. Use light pressure, and take care around any broken or irritated skin.
Yes — it makes a real difference. Self-tanner clings to dry, flaky patches, and that's what causes streaks. Exfoliating first gives it a smooth, even surface to work on. Do it the day before if you can.
